The Saint James Prayer Chain is a community outreach designed to promote the power of prayer and create a bond of understanding between people who have suffered similar hardships or losses. Founded in 1999, the Chain uses email to allow those with busy schedules to stay connected and pray with other parishioners for special intentions. The Chain requests prayers for the newly departed and their families as well as for people who are suffering physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, or psychological anguish. Announcements of events of educational and spiritual enrichment scheduled in the parish and the surrounding area are also shared via email. The administrator keeps confidential the names of the people making requests. Requests can include the first name of the person for whom prayers are invited or the beneficiary can remain anonymous. All parishioners are invited and encouraged to join us in prayer.
