Stewardship Committee
CONTACTS: Eileen and Mike Gavagan ♦ (908) 647-4936 ♦ egavagan@optonline.net
The mission of the Stewardship Committee is to encourage all parishioners to participate actively in the life of Saint James Church through membership in one or more groups and through service to the parish and surrounding community.
Members of the committee conduct a “Welcome to Saint James” outreach and invite new parishioners to a monthly Fellowship Coffee Hour, where they can meet other parishioners and learn more about opportunities to get involved.
The committee also organizes a Parish Activities Fair, publishes the Parish Handbook and The Road to Emmaus column in the Sunday Bulletin, assists at the Fellowship Coffee Hour and distributes a Time and Talent Assessment Survey to help parishioners decide which groups best match their interests, schedules and gifts.
The committee meets once a month to discuss new ways to make everyone feel welcome and needed, and to review the status of active projects. All interested adults are invited to join us.
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us. — Romans 12:5-8
