Annual Sacred Heart Adopt-a-Family Christmas DriveSign Up Next Weekend!
For the past several years St. James parishioners have adopted families at Christmas time from a list provided by Sacred Heart Church, our sister parish in New Brunswick. The list includes the family name, name of each parent and ages and sizes of children. Our parishioners sign up to be responsible for one family each and to purchase Christmas gifts (clothes are encouraged) for each family member. More detailed information is provided at sign up which will take place after Masses next weekend.
This effort has been greatly appreciated by recipients and often represents the only Christmas gifts they exchange as a family. Bags of gifts will be delivered to a specified location in our parish and then driven by volunteers to Sacred Heart no later than, Friday, December 15th. We will need about a half dozen drivers to take gift bags to Sacred Heart during the week of December 11th. Anyone interested in driving should contact Cathy Homan at 908-696-8976.
