Transportation Group

Our group drives our fellow parishioners, who do not have transportation available, to and from doctors’ offices, hospitals or other medical facilities.

Telephone requests are directed to me, Frank Eustace.  I call as many drivers as are necessary to provide the needed service.  There is never any obligation to accept a particular request.

For the last couple of years, we have averaged about 12 calls a month and our absolutely wonderful group of drivers have handled them all.

It is our normal practice to wait for our friends to complete their treatment, which usually lasts less than an hour.  When such treatment is of long duration, such as dialysis, normally one driver will take the parishioner to the facility and another driver will make the return trip.  The majority of our requests are either to local physicians or to Morristown.

This ministry relieves a practical concern of our neighbors who no longer drive and have no convenient means of making travel arrangements for necessary medical care.  From the expressions of appreciation we receive, we have come to know the importance of this service to those we are able to help.

In addition, we have an opportunity to bring some friendly, compassionate company to our fellow parishioners during our mobile visits.

If you can drive, smile and spend some time solving this important concern for some truly delightful people, you will enjoy the experience and be proud of what you will accomplish.

Just call Frank Eustace at 542 - 1192.
