St. Joachim and St. Anne Society
The Saint Joachim and St. Anne Society is an active social group, open to men and women in the community, 52 years of age and older, which meets monthly in the St. James Chapel auditorium. Its purpose is to provide for the spiritual and social welfare of its members.
Meetings are held monthly from September to June on the first Monday after the first Sunday of the month, in the Chapel Auditorium.
Activities throughout the year include the monthly meetings which feature guest speakers, demonstrations, and bingo( popular in January). Programs in the past few years have included the Torsilieri family of Far Hills who showed a video of how they choose and transport a Christmas tree to Radio City in New York, and another program with a Harmonica band playing golden oldies. Refreshments are served following the meetings.
St. Joachim and St. Anne Society is non-denominational. Visitors are welcome at all meetings; new members may join at any time during the year by completing a simple registration form. Annual dues are $10.00.
