Helping Hand Ministry

The Helping Hand Ministry was founded about 15 years ago to help families in time of need with preparing and serving luncheon following a Funeral Mass and/or Memorial Mass. This is done either in the Chapel basement or in the family's home. We also supply dinners a few times a week (on a temporary basis) where there is a serious illness. We usually learn of a particular need through the Rectory (with regard to funerals,etc.) and from friends of the family in the case of illness.

Volunteer's names and phone numbers are kept on file by Flo Cox and Irene Seitz and calls are made when service is needed. Volunteers are called no more than twice a year (USUALLY). There are no meetings or dues. This is a very rewarding ministry which takes very little of your time and effort.
