Please welcome our new parochial vicar, Fr. Dario Endiape. who comes to us from the Philippines.

He was born in Quezon Province on December 18, 1965 to Dario and Ligaya Endiape. Fr. Dario has seven siblings! He attended St. Francis DeSales Seminary in the Archdiocese of Lipa, where he received a B.A. in Philosophy. On September 24, 1993, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Lucena. Fr. Dario is an extern. This canonical term is used to describe a priest who, with the permission of his Ordinary, Bishop Emilio Marquez, is working outside of the diocese to which he is incardinated.

Why is he here in the Diocese of Metuchen? Bishops blessed with a "bumper crop" of vocations are willing to share their "harvest" with sees like our own, which is, presently, suffering from a vocational "drought." Obviously, the Diocese of Lucena is blessed with many vocations to the priesthood-eight of its priests are working in New Jersey.
